Dr. Garvey is the conceptual creator of CMDS and helped guide its development together with his collaborators. He is an endocrinologist and professor in the Department of Nutrition Sciences at UAB.

Nengjun Yi, PhD
Wrote the core program behind CMDS and risk calculations. Professor in Biostatistics at UAB.

Carrie R. Howell, PhD
Developed/validated CMDS for CVD and integrated social determinants of health. Assistant professor in Medicine at UAB.

Lua Wilkinson, PhD, RD
Developed/validated CMDS for diabetes during post-doc at UAB. Now at Novo Nordisk as senior medical liaison in obesity care.

Tapan Mehta, PhD
Guided development of CMDS for diabetes. Now in Family and Community Medicine at UAB, integrating CMDS into EMRs.

Li Zhang, PhD
Developed CMDS equations and applied them to diabetes, CVD, and COVID. Assistant professor at Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple University.

Fangjian Guo, MD, PhD
Developed earlier categorical CMDS models. Formerly at UAB, now assistant professor at University of Texas Medical Branch.

Shiori Tanaka, PhD
Validated and refined CMDS equations and conducted QA for website implementation during post-doc with Dr. Howell.

Charlotte McRae
UAB medical student who provided research and contributed text. Applies CMDS to inflammatory skin disease studies.
